Tier 2 General Dependent visa application help

Post by amulyan » Tue Mar 12, 2019 10:55 am

Hi,

I came to UK on my husband's Tier 2 ICT visa as a dependent. Earlier this year my company has sponsored me for Tier 2 General visa. Now we'd like to switch my husband's visa from T2 ICT main applicant to T2G dependent within UK and we have a few questions about the process. I'd really appreciate if anyone could answer these:
1. Can I apply for dependent visa by myself? Or should my employer do it (in terms of the visa fees etc.)?
2. Would Brexit make any difference (for non-EU nationals) in terms of processing time etc.?

Thank you

1. Your husband has to apply and pay the visa fees and IHS. Your employer is YOUR sponsor, not your dependents sponsor.

2. No.

What happens when visa switch gets rejected?

Post by amulyan » Tue Mar 12, 2019 11:36 am

Hi,

Following up my question here: uk-tier-2-employer-sponsored-visas/tier ... l#p1754151, where I asked about switching visa within UK, can I know what'd happen if my husband's Tier 2 General dependent visa gets rejected? Will his Tier 2 ICT visa still be active?

Thank you

ICT remains valid if tier 2 general is refused.
