My friend is with a Albanian man and they have been together just over 2 years. He should not be living in England but they want to marry and try to make him have a normal life so they can be happy and start a family.
Just wondering if anyone married a illegal immigrant in the UK?
What's the best way to do it and she is looking for a good solicitor around Newport, Bristol or Birmingham area.
She is very scared becaus ehe dont want them to send him back.
Any information I can pass on to her would be amazing and thank you

To marry in the UK,they both have to attend a Home Office approved registry office to give the 28 days notice with their passports and proof of right to reside (visa) which he clearly does not have. The registry office then inform the home office and the notice period can be extended to 70 for home office to investigate and/or interview each of them separately. They can only marry once home office gives approval. This does not mean that they won't show up and detain him on the day or during the 70 days.

Getting married does not give him any automatic right to live in the UK.

The best way would be to marry abroad and he applies for a spouse visa from his home country.

Does she meet the £18,600pa financial requirment?

He needs English A1 test from a home office approved test centre.

They live together, someone told her that maybe they could marry here and then apply for a Visa for him to stay.
Also if they opened a case with a solicitor to the home office maybe it would help them to marry??

They can try but it is unlikely a visa will be approved and will lose the fee if refused. There is no reason he cannot return to Albania to apply for a visa.

Home office follow their set procedures and processes. Using a solicitor has no influence on that. There is only one process to marry in the UK, as I explained above and there is no way to avoid it other than to marry outside the UK.

How did he enter the UK and when did he enter the UK?

Does he work illegally too?

I'm not sure how he entered the UK but not on a Visa. No he doesn't work or he isn't a bad person in any way. He was told by friends to come here for a better life.
But after being here not long he feel in love and that's the only reason he stayed. He doesn't like the weather here haha

I am afraid but he has to leave as there is no sympathy/discretion for all of above. The more he will stay illegally the more his immigration history will be kept damaging which will cause refusal or significant delays in future applications. If a person leave voluntarily without being deported/sent back at the cost of tax payer money usually gets the partner visa from abroad if the requirements are met.
