Hi Friends,
I am UK citizen (OCI) and working on permanent job in UK. My friend is planning to apply visitor visa early next month to come to UK in December for short stay 3 months (max 6 months). Actually, she is working in India in private company and she will continue her work during her stay in UK as her company allows work from home option.
Could you please help me on my below mentioned couple of queries please?
1. Is it ok to mention 3 months in the application? Or how much duration I should mention in the application? Actual plan is, she will stay with me for max 6 months.
2. This is Covid period and we have travel restrictions in some places in UK and also 2 weeks quarantine for passengers coming from India. So, will they consider Visitor visa applications these days? (for e.g. above my friend’s case)
Thank you in advance,
Regards,
Suri

She is NOT permitted to do this while on a visitor visa. ANY work, paid or unpaid, remote or not, is strictly prohibited.

Thank you CR001 for quick reply..!!
Ok. She don't work then. She will resign the job.
So could you please help me to answer below two queries please?
1. Is it ok to mention 3 months in the application? Or how much duration she should mention in the application? Actual plan is, she will stay with me for max 6 months (I would be the sponsor and no financial issues)
2. What documents she can submit/prove that she will return back to home country before visa expires.
3. This is Covid period and we have travel restrictions in some places in UK and also 2 weeks quarantine for passengers coming from India. So, will they consider Visitor visa applications these days? (for e.g. above my friend’s case)
Thank you again,
Suri

1. By doing so her credibility for future visas will be undermined where the intended duration is stated deliberately incorrectly for securing the visa.
2.
Property, heavy savings, kids, partner etc. Job alone can't be sufficient because many overstayers can resign from UK same as you said earlier.
3. Some processing is coming in notice on reading the member's experiences.

Thank you Seagul..!!
1. If we mention stay duration for e.g 3 months then she should stay 3 months only? And she can't stay more than 3 months?
2. She don't have any property on her name, but she has around £5000/- in her savings account (salary earnings). She is unmarried living with her mother, Father and brother.
So could you please help me if above is enough to prove that she is intend to return India after 6 months visit UK?
She can take 6 months unpaid leave and will join in same company after 6 months. So if she provides same letter from employer then will it help?
Please suggest...
Thank you,
Suri

1. She can still live more than 3 months which will be perfectly legitimate, however, by doing so, the harsher checks might be triggered over future applications.
2. On a rough guess, these won't be sufficient to justify the strong social ties which might even worsens the case if these (savings) have had been amassed very close to the application. Despite all above, still successes have been noticed with similar or with partially similar circumstances. And if you wish then can read the following official literature to drive the better understanding.
