sorry if this was asked before but when I was making the application it asks me to tick what proof I will upload, otherwise I can't finish the applicationZimba wrote: ↑Tue Dec 06, 2022 8:47 pmThere is no requirement to get a letter from a previous employer.

ILR is only granted to people who are needed for the foreseeable future by their sponsors. However, many who work for the NHS have gotten ILR with a sponsor letter mentioning their fixed term contract length. Also, note that what you tick on the form is NOT relevant. Your application will be subjected to the immigration rulesSyncope wrote: ↑Sun Dec 18, 2022 2:30 pmDear forum members,
I will be eligible to apply to ilr this year. My problem is, I'm a doctor working in NHS and doing specialty training. My work contract ends in 02 August 2023 or something. I will be eligible to apply to ILR in July 2023.
So is there a chance I can apply during this employment? For Ilr I need the employer letter which should be stating
"that I am still required for the employment in question for the foreseeable future"
If not, I can find another next job just to apply under their sponsorship. We have a lot of fixed term contracts in healthcare, this is not rare. How long should the next job contract be? Would a 6 months contract be okay, or 1 year? Or do we need a longer contract or even permanent one?
I will be grateful for your replies and sharing your past experiences.
