Re: FLR (M) Correspondence not asked. Submit anyway?

I am not sure what you mean by 'they did ask'. HO can of course request extra documents but things like 2+ years bills should be included in the bundle of documents for spouse visa extension since this is what Immigration Rules require.

Re: FLR (M) Correspondence not asked. Submit anyway?

From what you wrote I understand you should provide bills for the past 2.5 years (since you entered the country on this visa / switched into this visa inside the UK). The same applies for ILR.

Don't take anything on USB stick, they will not accept that. My advice is to print all your docs and they can scan it in case something has been lost or poor quality.

I understand you do NOT need to stamp any bank statements. Simply use PDFs you obtained online.

Re: Still waiting for a decision.....

HO is very amusing. My friend got rejected. Basically, in the refusal letter they wrote that she has not provided any documents, so they do no see her partner is British, that he is employed, she can speak English (he has got a Masters degree from the UK) and that they have met in person. Applicatio...

Should be fine. Tell him to take current TB certificate anyway. There are x-rays machines at airports, so he may be asked to undertake an examination again, if required.

Personally, I don't understand how you can appeal, taking into the account you did not fulfil the requirement of the visa category you applied.

This is normal. You may receive it in a few weeks/months time, nobody can tell the exact time HO keep the documents.

Re: Still waiting for a decision.....

A friend of mine just contacted me, she isn't into forums stuff, so with her permission here is the story. She applied for a spouse visa early October 2017, priority. Her sponsor contacted UKVI a few times and he was finally allowed to escalate. The day after the escalation, the sponsor received an ...

Difficult question. A bit like a lottery these day - maybe you will be lucky. However, most people did not get their decisions within 15 days. Also, 15 days are not guaranteed, they play around with it.

Do they need original documents from sponsor side to be send to Sheffield or not??? I assumed your 'person' applied in Kyiv? Did he/she bring ALL the required paperwork and was it all scanned at the VAC? He/she must have got a receipt 'Supporting documents submitted' from the VAC, can he/she see al...

When you say 'my mum brought us' - what do you mean? How did you cross the border back in 2002? Do you (and you brother and mum) have any valid visas/BRP/work permit at the moment? You or your brother may be eligible to apply under Para 276ADE of the Immigration Rules - https://www.gov.uk/guidance/i...

Applicants can ask for a visa to be dated from a specific date, no more than 3 months in advance.
It will still depend on the ECO whether to satisfy it or not, won't it?

Just to be clear - we will be applying in the first week of December 2017, and we want her visa to start mid-Feb 2018 and will be valid up to mid-Aug 2018 (approx 6 months). Am I right in saying this?
The period of visa depends on when it will be issued, it is pretty difficult to predict it.

Re: Fiancee visa discussion

1. If you gf is on a student Tier 4 General visa, you can marry in the UK on this visa and then switch into a spouse settlement visa. However, be aware that your notice period may be extended by the registrar to 70 days (if my memory serves me well), so do everything in advance and do not leave it u...
