Re: Kids passport application - naturalised parents

Thanks for the inputs Jambo.

Yes I am aware of that, but I have seen on the timelines thread that even kids passports can take 2-3 weeks to come, and we do not have that kind of time, so just going for the fast track one.

Thanks again!

Now we have a 2 week old daughter, we also want to apply for her passport soon, and do not want to travel again. Is ...

Re: British Passport application processing timelines (only)

Thanks for the explaination keyz87, really helpful. I might try to give both the HMPO and the DX guys a call tomorrow.

Nmm, really sorry to hear about your experience. I have seen similar experiences on this forum, and hence went with a self application. Good luck mate.

Re: British Passport application processing timelines (only)

Hi Keyz87, You just answered my biggest question, which I asked earlier but no-one quite answered it. How do we get our documents back if opted for secure delivery, is it by Royal Mail recorded delivery, or the DX courier. From your post, its clear they are returned by DX courier, and they need a si...

Re: British Passport application processing timelines (only)

Hi Kat894, I think it does depend upon which regional office you apply to, just like various PEOs are different in terms of service standards and even approval rates. I was thinking of calling for an update too, which number did you call? And how did you get this information, as when I called today ...

Re: December 2013 - Naturalization timeline

Congratulations HSMP_MBA_provision, The UKBA send an approval letter to you, and a similar letter to the council saying you have been approved. Till the council have that letter, you cannot book the ceremony. In case the council have it on their system, but you have not received the letter, but are ...

Congrats Abiegirl32,
Date of Passport Appointment:05/03/2014
Date of Passport Receipt: 08/03/2014 (dropped through letterbox at 7.20pm)
Great, really quick turnaround after the interview. They deliver that late? I thought it was a courier so would come during the day time.

Re: British Passport application processing timelines (only)

I am not quite convinced thats true. The rush in October was because the language requirements were being made stricter, so people rushed to get naturalised before that happened. However, once naturalised, I am not sure getting a passport is as urgent. I wonder if C&S slowness is just due to the POs...

Great news for you boiboi, my NCS person was wrong then, she did not mention the Marriage certificate.

We changed her name when applying for her passport, but its not back yet, so I will wait before celebrating :).

Re: Change of name in Naturalisation Application

You can get a deed poll done, get it signed by a witness and take to your NCS appointment or send in with your application if applying by post. Be aware though you can only change your surname, not your middle name. So if your name is ABC, you can only make it ABD. Thats what my NCS person told me, ...

Yes that maybe the case, people may be waiting for at least the SMS to come through, but not sure what you mean mid-feb, a number of people posted timelines almost with me, I applied on 25th, and the application reached them on the 26th, received sms from them on the 28th. Now waiting.

Re: Error signed Sec. 6 (children's signature) on passport f

Alexboy84, the guidance says if you make a mistake just cross it out, more than 3 crossed out mistakes and they will reject the form. I think you should be fine. On reading this post I realised, I filled in my name in Section 9, looking at the guidance I am only supposed to do that if I am signing o...

Desibuoy, I think in these cases its best to get it corrected, I would rather drive for 3.5 hours again than be stuck at Indian immigration counters.

BTW,how do your timelines look?

Yes lad2777 completely agree with you, I am myself not a C&S fan. Not sure how a paid service is slower than sending the form yourself!
