Yes I am aware of that, but I have seen on the timelines thread that even kids passports can take 2-3 weeks to come, and we do not have that kind of time, so just going for the fast track one.

I am not quite convinced thats true. The rush in October was because the language requirements were being made stricter, so people rushed to get naturalised before that happened. You can get a deed poll done, get it signed by a witness and take to your NCS appointment or send in with your application if applying by post.
