Another point I would like to put across. Since the new rules have come into effect, only one parent (or grandparent) dependent visa has been issued. Yes, just one. The rules are quite demanding now. If someone travel with her, then that person must be a British Citizen, and must stay in Pakistan un...

I am sure your have genuine concerns about your grandmother. But unfortunately an MP or a minister is not able to change immigration rules for one person. I would say, contact a good immigration solicitor and take his advice. See if there could be any scope to make an application outside immigration...

Royal mail does not keep log of mail delivered (or not delivered) to individual addresses. There can be no documentary evidence of proving mail that was not delivered or delivered.

I wholeheartedly agree. What I was trying to put across is, no matter how much trouble immigrants go through, no one is bothered, and no one will be bothered unless we make our voices heard. HO changed HSMP rules in past which were not fair, some people took the stand and challenged them and eventua...

As far as NCS is concerned, it is a good service, but with many councils its just a shoddy example of council's cavalier attitude towards everything they do. Some council are good, and they have few competent people to deal with naturalisation applications, and they can give appointments to applican...

Also, when people have real horror stories eg UKBA holding documents after the prescibed waiting time for application, and not even returning documents when requested to do so, then these issues could even be part of a big judicial review challenge to force UKBA to change its ways.

Yes, agree that the Home Office fees are exorbitant. But nothing is going to change by discussing it here. We should all raise this fees matter, and home office holding documents for months, in a serious way. Someone like HSMP forum LTd could play a role. People have started petitions raising these ...

I think solicitors in general are a rip off. Specially in some posh parts of country they act like 18th century aristocrats.

I think people should shop around.

Few months ago, I needed 3 pages of my passport, and my driving license copy certified. Solicitor charged me just £ 12

If after reading this information, you still decide not to send special delivery envelope, then its you choice. You could make it fair o...

Does anyone have any idea regarding MP letter, how to request a MP to write a letter to HO for speed up the process. And please say yes no answer as well whether HO follow first in first out rules strictly or not ? No one can speed up naturalisation process. MP can write 100 letters, and if its not...

No, there is no need to inform home office.

In majority of cases, when there is nothing to cast doubt on applicants character, home office does not check with referees.

If they want to check, they have referee's phone number.

So, do not worry about referee's. :)

It could not have been a PR card. If OP applied for WRS in 2006, there is no way he would get PR in 2007. Not a personal dig on anyone, but I wonder why people do not write their full circumstances and immigration history with the query. Why only after extreme "interrogation" by other members, peop...

I meant, that a PR application can act as a free documents check, without any risk of loosing application fees.

I know PR card is not needed for naturalisation.
