APPENDIX 2 - Financial Requrement Query

Post by Solidjim7 » Tue Nov 13, 2018 11:11 am

Hi I have a question.

So my fiance is filling in the appendix 2 for her visa application.

So I have worked with the same employer for 3 years however my salary has only just hit the financial requirement (I am now earning exactly £18.600).

Question 3.12

Has your sponsor been in employment with the same employer and earning the amount, as detailed in 3.11 above, continuously for 6 months prior to the date of the application? (Category A)

So I have been with the same employer for 6 months but not earning £18.600 for 6 months.

Is it correct for her to answer 'NO' to this and carry on to 3 .13?

3 . 13 Has your sponsor had other salaried employment, in the UK, in the 12 months prior to the date of application?
(Category B)

To which the answer is 'NO' again?

It looks like you will be applying under Category A. You will need to earn at £18,600 (or more) for 6 months. So it might be that you need to delay your fiance's application until you meet this requirement.

Category B questions do not apply to you.

Okay,

However if I submit my earnings for the last 12 months then it will be coming in at above 18,600 due to overtime.

Is there a way of me showing this to them?

You can apply under CAT B, if in the past 12 months from all jobs you have earned at least £18.600 in total AND currently in a job earning at least £18,600. You will in that case provide 12 months payslips and bank statements.

You currently do not meet the criteria for CAT A, If you can wait 3 months more then probably easier to apply under CAT A, less paperwork.

Agreed.

Drip feed... now that all the facts are known (are they?), ignore Cat A and apply under Cat B.

Okay thanks so much, and yes that is all the facts.

So am I correct that we should still answer 'no' to both these questions?

3.12 - Has your sponsor been in employment with the same employer and earning the amount, as detailed in 3.11 above, continuously for 6 months prior to the date of the application? (Category A)

and

3.13 - Has your sponsor had other salaried employment, in the UK, in the 12 months prior to the date of application? (Category B)

And then continue from as normal from 3.20?

Unless you had other employment it's a no. How much have you earned in the pas 12 months?

Then it's no to both. Apply CAT B providing all payslips for the past 12 months with 12 months of bank statements.

Make sure you clearly point out your employment and pay details in the extra information section / cover letter, so the ECO doesn't get confused as to the reason you answered no to both questions..

Marriage Visa - 2 Year Relationship Gap

Post by Solidjim7 » Wed Nov 14, 2018 10:16 pm

Hi, I have a question.

Me and my fiance trying to find evidence to prove our relationship for her application for a faince visa.

The issue is that we started our relationship in 2014 and then in 2016 she was forced to move back to her country as the student visa she was on at the time ran out. So, when she left in 2016 we didn't see any way that we could be together so we decided to break up even though it wasn't what either of us wanted.

Anyway earlier this year I went to see her and we realised that we needed to be together and would do whatever was needed.

Basically I'm worried that this two year gap in our relationship where we have very little evidence that we even talked will be a problem in the application.

Is it best to tell them that we tried to break up but didnt manage it which is true, or scrape together all the evidence I do have of us talking during that time and hope that its enough?

Take the average of your last 6 months wages to get the annual income and if it reaches £18600 then you can still apply under category A non-salaried. use below formula:

total of last six months wages/6*12

Visa Appointment Document Check

Post by Solidjim7 » Sun Nov 18, 2018 9:29 pm

Hi, my fiancé is attending the appointment for the marriage visa. I wanted to check she is going with the right documents.

- Printed out online application
- Appendix 2 VAF4A form
- Both current passports
- 2 passport photos

Is there anything she needs to bring?

TIA

Urgent! Help needed please! Fiancé visa

Post by Solidjim7 » Tue Nov 20, 2018 3:53 pm

Hi I have a very urgent problem!

My fiancé went for her biometrics today with her half of the supporting documents.

The plan was that after the appointment she would send the documents to me and I would add my half of the supporting documents then forward to Sheffield.

But she has just told me that they scanned all her documents and took her passport. Does this mean that the application has been submitted without my supporting documents?

You have not stated in any of your posts exactly where it is they are applying from. There are different process for different regions/countries.

At the end of the application process if should have told you what to do.

The remaining documents which were not scanned must reach to Sheffield.
