Dear all,
today I finally received my papers back from HO with the rejection of application.
I'm non-EU wife of EEA citizen.
Can you please have a look that I'm reading it right: main reason is lack of original ID?
I want to reapply tomorrow so quick reply will be highly appreciated.
The following is the text:
You have made an application for a Residence Card.
Your application has been rejected.
The reason your application has been rejected is set out below.
What it means for you.
You can submit another application if you can provide evidence that you have a right of residence in the UK or if you have some other legitimate basis to stay in the UK. Information on how to do this is in the next steps section.
Identity Documents
A photocopy of a passport has been submitted. Passports\national ID cards must be originals, photocopies of these documents are not accepted.
Fees for your attempted application
(basically that they gonna refund me 40 pounds)
Next steps
You do not have a right of appeal.
If you would like to make a further application, you should ensure that you include a valid passport\ID, pay the correct fee, provide the specified evidence and complete relevant application form. For further info on exercising Treaty rights see guidance on EEA on gov.uk.
