Submission of Fiance Visa

Post by Mattcolbert » Tue Nov 10, 2020 10:27 am

Hi,

I am new here.

My Fiance is currently on a visit to London to see me. She has a 2 year visit Visa. We are planning to apply for the fiance visa. She is planning to return to Russia in January after passing the A1 or A2 test.

The question is can I submit the online application and drop my available documents off before she leave the country for the Visa appointment to submit her passport and bio-metrics as well as TB Test and then she waits for the result? Or Must she be out of the country when I submit the online application on her behalf?

Also is it possible to pay to take the TB test in London whiles she is here?

Cheers

Matt

Similar dilemma in the past on spouse visa as it states the application should be made from outside the UK. How do you submit the application yet your travel documents indicate the you exited UK after submission of online application.
Do prepared all needed documents and submitted when outside of UK airspace.
The HO maintains a list of countries and acceptable TB test centres. Check if your ladys country require it

She is from Russia, TB test center in Moscow but she lives in Sochi (met during football world cup) so was trying to arrange, TB Check and Bio-metrics on way back to Sochi.

Next plan was to submit appliciation the day after she flew out, drop documents off the next day. and set appointment but she may have top fly back to Moscow for a day or 2 although this is cheap enough.

Just make sure to keep aligned your plans with local centre instructions.

Paid in the middle of the month for a Calendar Month.

Post by Mattcolbert » Thu Nov 12, 2020 11:08 am

I get paid on the 15h of every moth for the full Calendar Month.

For Example paid on the 15th of October for the Month of October from 1st through to the 31st.

Will the 28 day validity of the last pay slip start ticking from the 15th of October or the 31st of October.

Thanks in advance.

Maybe you mean september if not then it should be 15th November I guess because officially you can't be paid in advance.

28 days will be calculated from the date of payslip which mostly is prepared earlier than the payday.

The OP means October. He gets paid on 15th of the month for that full month. My employer and pay is the same.

That means of receiving the wages in advance for the period (16th Oct - 31st Oct) if we say it October wages received in October otherwise it would actually be the September's wages. In contrary to this, what mostly happens is that the wages for the present month is paid in following month e.g the wages covering the month of September (1st - 30th Sep) will be paid on a predefined payday in October which can be 7th/10th/15th depending on each individual organisation. Also, not surprisingly, there could be some exceptions to all above depending on the contract of employee.

There is nothing odd about this seagul and no point in trying to make an issue out of it causing confusion either. Many companies have their pay structured like this, where an element of pay is paid in advance at a mid'ish month point.

Thanks. Yes we get paid in the middle of the month so actually get some money in arrears and some money in advance.
