1.if you've been in that job for a year then you can use cat B,reason being than you have varying income,to use cat b,you must have earned the money, which means 12 payslips & 12 bank statement.
To use cat b,your lowest income weekly or monthly payslip wouldn't matter,d most important thing is that you've earned 18600 or more.NOT LESS
2.if you've not spent up to a year in that job and you can't wait, then you can use cat A,to use catA,your salary or non salaried income must not fall short of 1550 in a month,if it falls short by just a pound,I'm telling you the ECO doesn't care, the application will be refused.
3.lastly,if your monthly income is flexible, the least will be used, meaning even the least must not be less than 1550,All these are gross income remember?
So the calculation will be
For cat A 1550 ×12=18600 calculated prospectively,6 payslips, 6bank statement
Cat B 1550 or varied above 1550×12=18600 or more.earned you already earned or spent it.12 payslips, 12 bank statements
Hope these information helps?
Pls note,my calculation is done in the best way you can understand it,there's a standard formula but this is a lay man's way of getting it clearer.
I'm sure the big bosses will chip in later.
For the purpose of meeting financial requirement always the gross income before tax & other deductions including pension etc counts. But in your case if you don't have any other income/saving to cover the shortfall then you won't meet the requirement because you need to have been earning at least £18600 instead £17245. Furthermore, if you are working for your employer from at least 6 months & if getting paid weekly then 26 payslips need and the same duration of bank statements showing that credit transactions.Sb19 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2018 9:44 pmHi all Please can someone clarify the calculation for spouse visa application?
My payslip is weekly,
I'm planing to send payslips from week 1-week 47 so in total 47 payslips, my gross pay on week 47 is £17245, and taxable pay shows £16944 which has been reduced by Pension conts £301 that I'm not sure why. All these are showing on the payslip.
My question is, which of those two values will be counted?
And how the calculation is done ?
Can someone kindly clarify this? Will this be accepted ?
Thank you all
If you are working for same employer from 6 months then it's should be category A and if you are working on variable income then non-salaried person. If £17245 is for 47 weeks and if you gets variable income each month then I think you can meet the requirement but you have to convert weekly figures into months & year like:

I would like to ask those of you who done the spouse visa form recently, From the online tracking where it says 'Transferred for decision' to the 'Rest of the points' how long it will take to be ticked?? Mainly to Recieved by UKVI and Decision made?
How many days weeks months will it take for the other two to be green?
Many thanks to you all
Your post has been moved to the correct sub-forum Immigration for Family members, as your post doesn't appear to be either a comment or a complaintSb19 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 11, 2018 4:20 pmSb19 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 11, 2018 3:55 pmI hope you all doing fine.

Sorry about that
My question is regarding spouse visa application
I would like to find out how long will it take for, my online tracking application from transfered for decision TO recieved by UKVI and decision made ?
How long that will it take for them to be ticked (like the rest) around this time of the year?
Could you provide a link to the "online tracking" page?Sb19 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 11, 2018 3:55 pmI hope you all doing fine.

You only need to attach 26 weeks/6 months payslips if working for your present employer from last 6 months. If you earning variable income each week then you will be under non-salaried person and have to convert weekly into monthly & yearly figures like:
hello dear, just wanted to ask you, did you get your visa? i had mine refuse a month ago despite my husband earns 18,700 pa on salaried employment, he gets 1,558.33 monthly but 31 pounds are taken from his pension deductions, so after this is 1,527.33 that is the taxable pay. i think ECO took into account this figure after pension was deducted instead of his gross salary and we got rejected just for this reasonSb19 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2018 9:44 pmHi all Please can someone clarify the calculation for spouse visa application?
