Request to answer some non-generic questions

Post by Priya777 » Fri Mar 16, 2018 2:49 pm

Hi Team,
I am Priya, currently planning to apply for settlement priority dependent visa after my marriage on April 15th. My fiancee is a perminant resident in London, UK and I have the following questions.

1. My fiancee is legally a divorcee now. His current passport details still has the name of his ex now as he couldn't change it because he haven't been to India after the divorce. After submitting my application and during the biometric process, would that be a problem if his passport has the details of his ex? Would that be okay if we submit his legal divorce papers as a proof because we are not sure how long the process would take in India to get the name changed in the passport.

2. During the biometic process, is there a service to keep my passport with me and instead just submit all the pages of the passport? The reason is I already have a visit visa to UK and I would want to visa UK for a family function.

3. My fiancee would be in India for 2 weeks for the marriage. As I will be submitting my application after the wedding once we get our marriage certificate, what should I fill for the question " What is your sponsor's current location". Should I give India address or London, UK address as he would be flying to UK after 2 weeks of the wedding?

Thank you!

Regards,
Priya.

Request to know if BPR details is asked in PBS Dependent visa type

Post by Priya777 » Fri Mar 16, 2018 5:35 pm

Hi Team,
I am Priya from India. I am getting married on April 15th and hence I am applying for PBS Dependent visa because my fiancee is a permanent resident and falls under Tier I infinite stay. While filling the details in the application, we didn't see options to enter any of the details of his BPR card no and it only asked the passport number. I just wanted to check if we are doing it correctly?

Thank you!

Regards,
Shika.

Usually the form is to be filled from applicant perspective instead sponsor but wherever sponsor's details are being asked then should give accordingly.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

1. If all the other necessary documents matches with name on passport then can proceed with application and if wish can keep continue with same name.

2. You should directly inquire from your relevant local vfs centre.

3. It should be uk address

You need to state clearly what you are applying for and exactly what your partners visa status is in the UK. You stated you are applying for a settlement visa as your partner is a permanent resident. Now you state you are applying for a PBS Dependent visa, which is not possible if your partner holds ILR (indefinite leave to remain).

Not sure what you mean by 'Tier 1 Infinite stay'???

Hi Team,
I am Priya from India. I'm getting married on April 15th and I will be applying for settlement visa. My fiance is a permanent resident in the UK and his status is ILR now. I need help in understanding some of the questions under the Family Details section.

1. My husband would be my sponsor. So under the Spouse Partner section, do I need to provide my husband's details or mine? It didn't specify though clearly
1.1. Current Passport or Travel Document Number
1.2. Nationality
1.3. Family Name / Surname
(If you only have one name, please enter it here and in the Given Name box)
1.4. Given Name(s) / Forename(s)
(If they only have one name, please enter it here and in the Family Name box)

2. My husband would be my sponsor. So under the Father and Mothe's section, do I need to provide my husband's parents' details or my parent's details? It didn't specify though clearly.

3. I didn't understand the following question under the Sponsor's Partner's Details section "Is your sponsor's partner your mother or father as detailed in the Family Details section?" If my sponsor is husband, this question is not applicable to me and I need to select the radio button "No". Please let me know if my understanding is correct. And for the other questions under the "Sponsor's Partner's Details" section, do I need to enter my own details as my sponsor is my husband and I would be his partner?

4. What is the procedure to select another Visa Type if I have incorrectly selected one and saved the application (but haven't submitted it yet). I don't see any edit option in my saved application to change the visa type.Could you please let me know.

Thank you!

Regards,
Priya.

4. I’ve started entering all my details in the applicated and saved them but haven’t submitted it because I’ll be submitting for dependent visa right after the marriage. My application date is saved as the date I started entering details. Is it okay or will my application be rejected if my application date is before the date of my marriage? Do I need to fill a fresh application after the marriage?
5. Could I set up an appointment for the biometrics before submitting my application. Because I’ll be submitting my application right after the marriage and I’m worried if I do not get the slots for the appointment sooner.

Thank you!

Regards,
Priya.
