Applying for Spouse visa - Both currently in the UK

Post by q10mac » Tue Mar 27, 2018 7:38 pm

Hi everyone.

I just wanted some guidance. Any help would be much appreciated.

I am a British Citizen, whilst my fiance is currently on a Tier 5 (2 year working holiday visa). Her visa expires in July 2018 and we are planning to get married next month.

My question is that, she is currently on full time employment, and will start a new job in May. She has been in continuous FT employment for over 12 months. Her income is around £25k after tax, and the new job will be roughly the same.

Whilst, on my side I wouldn't be earning over £18,600 as there are some gaps. Plus I start my new job next month. I do have at least £16k of savings under my name.

My recent employer I was classified as self employed, but I won't complete my tax returns until next year.

Are we able to use my partners income for spouse visa? Will there be any issues?

Yes your fiance alone income can meet the financial requirement.

Thank you Seagul.

Another question, my partner will start her new job soon, her new company can provide her with original payslips.

Whilst her current employer only provide online payslips, and bank statements to support her salary. We want to be discreet and getting them either stamped or confirming they are authentic is going to be difficult.

Are all the 12 months payslips required to be stamped with an accompanied by a letter to confirm authenticity, or can it be for her most recent employment?

Employment Letter - Required for current or previous company?

Post by q10mac » Thu Apr 05, 2018 6:03 pm

Hi guys

We are currently preparing for my partner's spouse visa, under CAT B. We have all the payslips, some are originals and some are printed online.

She is going to start her new job soon.

The question is that, will she be required to get an employment letter for her soon to be previous employer and her next employer too?

Online payslips need to be either stamped by HR or accompanied with a letter confirming its authenticity. Yes 12 months payslips should be stamped or with letter and since she hasn't left her job then why not before leaving her present job she request her employer to either stamp stamp her payslips or issue her letter confirming its authenticity. Yes I think the employer letter from previous job require but based on common sense if a person has already resigned then he maynot get that but since your partner is still employed then preferably she should ask for it before leaving.

Spouse visa - forgot to update police registration

Post by q10mac » Sat May 12, 2018 2:17 pm

Hi there,

My partner and I are planning to apply for our first spouse visa next month.

She has just realised she has forgot to update her police registration for nearly 1 year. I've told her to update ASAP. As there could be consequences for our application.

Can anyone provide some advice?

Thanks

There is no need for police registration / certificate for a spouse visa, who told you this is required?

Registration is not normally required for spouse of a settled or British person. However, updating is a good idea if it’s a requirement of her current leave.

Hi all,

We are currently finalising documents for my wife's premium service application, which is next week.

I have a few questions;

I am taking screenshots of our WhatsApp conversation, is this fine, or does it need additional information, such as date etc?

The screenshot is coming from my phone or does it need to be on her phone?

Regards

Mac

Whatsapp messages does contain date by default and showing messages/calls with dates is better. Yes these messages can be shown from both phones. Apart of that don't forget to include the other evidences such as passport stamps & tickets, money transfer receipts, cards/gift sent/received receipts, wedding & post wedding pictures etc.

Thanks for that! I managed to find an email receipt for some flowers I brought her!

Also, she is known by a different first name (more western) but her remaining name matches her passport. Will that matter or we should explain this?
