Tier 2 Dependent visa maintenance funds

Hi All,
First of all thanks for helping with queries. You are stars.
I am wondering how old can the bank statements be when I submit my application for PBS Dependent on Tier 2.
For example if I complete my application on gov.uk site on 24th Dec and submit at VFS Global Hyderabad on 5th January, can my statements be from 24th Dec upto -3 months or should it be 4th Jan upto -3 months?
What is the day(s) window here?

I am currently on Tier 2 General Visa (since 4 years) and planning to bring my wife in January 2019.
I am confused as to how much maintenance funds I have to show in my/our bank. Its only my wife, so should it be £630 (dependent funds) or £630 + £945 (main, myself, funds)?
