Re: Ireland spouse visa(Category B) processing time from Pakistan

Join Family visas for Category B sponsors take more than 12 months to process in normal situations. It has been put on hold since the pandemic started. See http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/inis/pages/visa%20decisions for processing times. For Category A sponsors, it takes around 1-4 weeks for embassies to...

I have heard someone (a friend's friend) applied. The husband had critical skills work permit in Ireland and the whole process took 2.5 months.

Info re: critical skills permit

Hi, I am currently on a critical skills permit as a group accountant (1+ years on the permit). I am being offered the role of a senior internal auditor in the same company (increased pay and benefits). Can someone please advise on the following; 1- Is internal auditor included in the critical skills...

Re: Stamp 1 and work permit

On the last page of my letter it said "The certificate of registration, together with this letter granting you temporary permission, will entitle you to work in the State whilst awaiting the securement of an appropriate Employment Permit to meet your working needs." Does yours have something similar...

Re: Irish Passport Revoke marriage of convenience

I know of a case in which a non-EU married an EU citizen. After 3 years the EU citizen left Ireland. Apparently she wasn't working or exercising her EU treaty rights in any other way. The non-EU person got remarried (or got in a relationship---- not sure which one) to another non-EU lady, had 2 chil...

Re: Stamp 1 and work permit

Hi, I was granted a similar permission for 6 months but I was already in an employment and immigration department knew of it (I had told them) so they added a sentence that I can continue working while on this stamp and while I await granting of a work permit. It depends on what your letter says. Do...

Re: Passports will no longer be stamped for IRP renewals

I hope INIS communicate this to immigration departments / airports / airline staff of other countries as in some countries (at least) the airline staff and / or immigration desks check the stamp on your passport and IRP card before you exit and board a flight to Ireland. Plus I'd say this will proba...

My experience with online renewal so far;

Application submitted online: 3rd of November
First automatic acknowledgement received: 3rd of November
Documents posted: 4th of November
Notification of completion received: 19th of November
Passport received: 24th of November
IRP card still to be received.

Re: Online IRP card renewals for everybody in Dublin from 20th of Jul

Hi, My IRP is due to expire on first week of December... the processing time is roughly 30 working days (6 weeks) while apparently you can't submit your application online if your IRP is expiring in more than 30 days (I got a prompt when trying to apply) so one if bound to overrun their IRP expirati...

Re: Promotion/Salary increase for CSEP holders

It can only be an issue if the new employment is significantly different to the one for which the permit was obtained. For example if someone got a permit to work as an IT expert but later switched to a totally different field.

Re: Promotion/Salary increase for CSEP holders

Probably not. As long as your role is within the scope of your permit (employer and category of skills etc) you don't need to apply a new permit while working for the same employer.

Re: Section 3 Application Force Applicant To Breach Employment Permit Act

No. When someone is on section 3 application they have lost all stamps and residency status. I was working in the company for almost 7 years (had permission when I got the job - before losing status) and luckily the company did not open my file while I was on section 3. I informed them when I got th...

Re: Section 3 Application Force Applicant To Breach Employment Permit Act

@finalversion_2k- I had submitted a section 3 application and as a decision of it INIS gave me a temporary stamp 1 permission for 6 months with a condition that I apply a work permit before the stamp expired. I did so and successfully applied a CSEP. Now I am on stamp 1 based on that permit. I tried...

Re: Section 3 Application Force Applicant To Breach Employment Permit Act

I was told by most solicitors that if you are working during that process, they can't penalise you for it as you have to put food on the table. If asked you can give them the job details. When I was in the process I provided my contract details, pay slips, P60s and bank statements etc. But I think p...

Re: IRP card not received yet

If your registration was done in the Burgh Quay office then you can email them with title "undelivered IRP Card" at burghquayregoffice@justice.ie

Include full name, Registration number, Nationality and date of birth. They usually reply within few hours.

If you are an Irish citizen you can't apply for EU FAM card for your spouse in Ireland. EU FAM card can be applied if you were living in another EU country and wanted your spouse to join you there.

Re: Marriage to non-EU/EEA (non-visa-required) spouse in Ireland

Oh sorry :| . I think I misread your post earlier and thought your spouse was an EU citizen.

Once you get married both of you should visit the GNIB office with all relevant documents;

Original marriage/civil partnership certificate
Original passport of both
Evidence of your joint address

I thought the time is 9am for new appointments (mostly 10 weeks from now), and 2.30pm for any additional slots for the next few days. I might be wrong though. It’s nearly impossible to get one without paying a fortune to some random third-party extortion apps. I even remember getting alerts of free...

Re: Marriage to non-EU/EEA (non-visa-required) spouse in Ireland

As your EU spouse is studying (full-time?) she needs to have private medical insurance (and for you too). You will need to fill in and send EU treaty rights form to INIS (I think EU1 form) along with all relevant documents (proof of residence, bills, leases, bank statements, tax records and others e...
