You don't have to wait a year after ILR if your spouse is British. I applied the day after receiving my ILR.

Re: Naturlisation Application Requirement

Example of the rule If you decide to apply on the 20th of January 2020 you have to have been physically present in the UK on the 20th of January 2017 which is 3 years. So be careful on application date. Check your absences to determine when you can apply as you have to have been in the UK on the sam...

Could you give more information on the application? It would be easier to comment if we know what kind of visa application it was.

Re: Fiance Visa to FLR(M) - Question about Sponsors name

My advice would be to wait until your application is concluded before making any changes just in case. There is no rush in a married name change as your visa is priority.

Re: Fiance Visa to FLR(M) - Question about Sponsors name

I changed my name after my initial 2.5 year application was successful then paid to update my brp with my married name. I changed my passport from my birth country to my married name and used that as evidence to update brp. I did bank accounts few months later. HO will only issue visa in the name su...

Re: Spouse Visa Days Outside UK for Job

Payslips will be needed to show that you meet the financial requirement when she extends her visa.
Overseas payslips may raise suspicion on you and your spouse not living together or are you relying on other means for the financial requirement?

Re: what document need to be sent for Naturalization for a non EEA familly memeber

ILR is gotten after British spouse route PR is gotten after EEA spouse route. Both have different requirements when it comes to documents to submit for naturalization. It doesn't matter if your spouse is now British. All that matters is the route you used to gain settlement. I only had to submit my ...

Re: british citizenship while Leave to remain

You will have to complete 5 years on Leave to remain visa (60 months) then apply for indefinite leave to remain after which you can apply for naturalization. You don't get automatic citizenship by marrying a British citizen. You still have to go through the necessary applications. The only differenc...
