Re: Is it a requirement to exercise treaty rights when applying settled status Surinder Singh route route?

It's always possible to contact a previous employer and ask for a letter. They have templates for that and these letters are powerful tools that the person was working in the company during the stated period. He worked in Maplin in 2018 and the company has shut down for good so there will be no way...

Is it a requirement to exercise treaty rights when applying settled status SS route?

Hello again. 🙋🏽‍♀️ I just want to clarify about this, we arrived in UK in 2014 then got UK RC straight away through SS route. I am now ready to apply for settled status but I got a bit worried as I cannot find my husband’s P60 from 2018 and only found 1 pay slip on the same year (I got everything fr...

Re: Evidence of 5 years continuous residence for EU Settlement Scheme

@ljdebenedictis I don't agree with ZERUBBABEL. In my own case for SETTLED STATUS i uploaded online printed statement which i directly converted into PDF instead of printing them on hard copy. They were accepted by the case worker. And before sending them I have spoken to the EU TEAM they acknowledg...

I have seen an administration, just last month (not the Home Office), refusing printed ...

Re: Evidence of 5 years continuous residence for EU Settlement Scheme

The annual statements, are they the ones you receive monthly at home or were they printed online or at a branch all in one go? The one you receive at home can serve as proof of address, the one printed a the branch don't. As foreign national you have to be proactive about this kind of documents. Ta...

Evidence of 5 years continuous residence for EU Settlement Scheme

Hi I’m finally back from my holiday travels and now ready to apply for EU Settlement Scheme. I arrived in UK in 26th of June 2014 using Surinder Singh Route as we lived in Cyprus for many years (we both grew up there). I hold a residence permit of an EU EEA family member expiring in January 2020, I ...

Re: Schengen visa for UK resident (indian), married to an EEA national?

Hi.. UK is not breaking the treaty and free movement rights because EU settlement scheme is under UK immigration law and not EU immigration law hence you can’t use it to travel freely around Europe. You can still apply for EU residence card if you want to travel freely but it will be invalid in 2020...

Re: Schengen Visa Query

I had the same issues because August is really busy I was told that there is a “premium service”, not sure what you called it in other visa Application Centre, I went to VFS in London. So basically I got the earliest appointment they had, I paid extra £60.00 for that. So instead of waiting for like ...

Can I not use directive 2004/38/ec at the eurotunnel? To travel under that Directive, you have to hold a current/valid EEA family member card with this statement printed on it: https://i.imgur.com/eP27cCN.png Your wife has to hold an EEA passport (any except the British) “Your wife has to hold an E...

Re: SPANISH SCHENGEN VISA FOR NON-EU SPOUSE OF BRITISH CITIZEN WITH LESS THAN 3MONTHS BRP VALIDITY

I got an appointment to VFS in London You will likely be charged for going via VFS. Going directly to the embassy normally gets you free service as the family member of an EEA citizen, but the embassies of EEA countries have reduced the number of hours they are accessible directly or have even elim...

Re: SPANISH SCHENGEN VISA FOR NON-EU SPOUSE OF BRITISH CITIZEN WITH LESS THAN 3MONTHS BRP VALIDITY

When they asked you to pay for premium service, what is the actual reason? Is it because you are EU family member? Basically, I got an appointment to VFS in London for Cyprus tourist visa (as a family member of EU citizen) which is I know free but the guy on the phone said that because the appointme...

Has anyone travelled recently without a schengen visa but holds a residence card of an EU/EEA family member?

I hold a residence card (Family member of an EU/EEA citizen), my husband is British, I got my residence card through Surinder Singh. Last year I travelled to Cyprus with my husband and I didn’t apply for schengen visa as I know we can travel without it, no problems at all, I was questioned by airlin...

non EU It’s like travelling to Manchester or Scotland I see. Never done domestic flight before that’s why I’m a bit worried (not travelling with husband, travelling with friends), i hate embarrassing myself so want to be ready. 😞 So the airline staff when you checked in didn’t ask for your passport?

Re: Not sure if right place for this topic: Travelling to Jersey Channel Island, how strict is the airline?

I went by Flybe with just Driving License. No check at all from Luton airport / Jersey Airport Hi. Do you mind if I ask if you are a Non EU citizen? I understand that if you are a British or EU citizen, you can just show driving license or any other type of ID, not sure if the same with Non EU. I k...
