Do a Subject access request at your local police station and you will have a clear picture of what exactly is stored about you on the systems. :)

Re: student finance

In order to qualify for SF you need to have ILR and should have been resident in the country for at least the last three years before the start of academic year and during any point in the last three years your purpose of residence in the country was NOT full time education.

Re: British Nationality when married

so you can NOT apply for citizenship after 3 years of marriage with a British citizen if you are an EEA national and you have to complete 5 years in the UK and have permanent residence in order to be eligible for the BC. Sorry for being bit daft but I got really confused because as I said abo...

Re: British Nationality when married

Technically you have to be free from immigration time restrictions in order to be eligible to apply for BC but still its not clear whether an EEA national can apply after 3 years or 5 years specifically if married to a British citizen. There is nothing specifically mentioned anywhere on the UKBA site...

your query has been answered before and you were given a successful example of a member who was in the same situation. :| If you have already paid the arrears and then IMHO I don't think there is anything to worry about but make sure you confirm it with the council again and ask them if there is any...

Re: When should I apply for naturalisation ?

If married to a BC, you can apply the same day you are granted ILR if you meet the spouse requirements which includes 3 years residence. Any legal stay in the UK counts. An important requirement you should pay attention to is that you need to have been physically present in the UK at the beginning ...

Has anyone recently got Citizenship with spent offences?

Hey guys it would be reassuring and useful to know if anyone has been successful in getting British Citizenship recently after the change in rules (after 12 Dec 2012) with the spent Police Cautions and other non-custodial sentences. It would help and give reassurance to those who have cautions,non-c...

Re: Wrong place of birth in Pakistani passport

Apply for a new passport and then apply for citizenship and I don't think that it's a good idea to change your place of birth now as it might create unwanted problems for you in your BC Application so keep it consistent with the rest of your immigration applications. Why you are so keen to change it...
