The estimate I am suggesting is a sum of ILR postal fee + the one day premium fee. Currently, the one day fee stands at 590 (rising from 400) and the postal fee 2297 (rising from 1875). This amounts to a total of 2887 for a one day ILR appointment. The 3250 limit that you are suggesting is for the s...
the current total fee for premium appointment for ILR is about 2900 (2287 to be precise I think). Expect this to increase to about 3600-3700 in April 2018 based on the percentage increases to date. Of course, this is just a guess based on recent pattern and you have to wait for March to see the actu...
If you had only googled "Tier 2 Policy guidance", it has a section on requirements for settlement. And on page 62, it states exactly what documents are required. All that is required is a letter from employer , most recent payslip and bank statement showing the payment of your salary, as shown on yo...
did you switch from another visa category into Tier 2 from inside UK or did you apply for Tier 2 from abroad and then entered UK using the tier 2 visa?
Thank you very much CR001. Just another query in case you have answer. I called the HMRC helpline regarding this but they were clueless. What original documents should I send along with the filled child benefit application form? At the moment, I am assuming I need to send, in addition to the form,: ...
Background: I have recently gotten my ILR based on Tier 2. My wife and son are still my PBs dependants and they will only qualify for ILR in 2021. I have searched in the forum regarding child benefit and I understand that I can claim child benefit in my name. (both my wife and son have no recourse t...
My ILR Date is October 2018, I am getting a new CoS for 3 years issued to me in August, my question is should I ask my sponsors to reduce the extent of the cos so I will not exceed 6 years in total or let them issue me one for 3 years and the home office can sort out the dates when I apply for the ...
Put the date when you actually left UK. It is common sense that you might arrive on a later date if you fly east. Quit worrying, it's a non issue and if everything else is fine, you will get your Ilr approval on the day
Once you complete 5 years on Tier 2, you can apply for ILR. Actually you can apply up to 28 days earlier than completing 5 years on Tier 2. At that point, you will require a letter from your current employer stating that you are required for the foreseeable future. It doesn''t really matter as to wh...
I remember reading here a while back that someone got their Health Surcharge refund but I am not able to find the thread where a the contact information is given for applying for refund. I'd like to try my luck. I paid £600 for my health surcharge when I applied for my Tier 2 extension in July 2015....
OK, here is my understanding working out your case. Anyone else who thinks I got something wrong, please correct me. (My personal experience is only of Tier 2 and ILR, and dependants being on Tier 2..) if your wife switches to FLR(M), then the total fee would be: £993 + Health Surcharge for 2.5 year...
If you continue to apply for PBS extension and in the meantime your wife completes 10 years, you can apply for ILR for her I believe. And it will cost you less to get PBS extension than switch to FLR. I am not sure why has this not been pointed out. ?
but once wife completes 10 years here, she should be able to apply for ILR based on 10 years legal stay (unless FLR categories are excluded for some reason ?)
Thanks CR001. I do have 2 dependants (wife and son) and they will only complete their 5 years in 2021. My wife had her first Tier 2 dependant in June 2013, but unfortunately, it expired in July 2015, and we did not renew it then. She spent her whole pregnancy time in home country and then child was ...
Dear all, I have my appointment next week, planning to apply for ILR based on 5 years of working on Tier 2. I just want to make sure that I have got everything in order so if you could kindly let me know if I am missing anything or anything else I need to take care of, before the appointment: I have...
Can you please clarify whether the letter should only be focused on absences outside the UK or all absences from office (i.e. say for annual/sick leaves spent inside the UK). Absences outside UK only.. Also can you please advise if there are scenarios were we are outside the UK, but working for off...
You as the main tier 2 general visa holder, if setting up a Ltd co, cannot claim dividends as then you have to do self assessment to pay tax, which will flag you up as self employed, which is not permitted. I have seen a similar suggestion here on the forum but I am not convinced that this is corre...
there is no restriction on setting up a company on Tier 2. The restrictions are on working in addition to your main work.
I don't see any problem with your plan..but if you want to be absolutely certain and unless someone disagrees, you can have your dependant be the 100% shareholder.
not only that but your wife might loose the continuity part (not 100% sure) as she will get a new entry clearance visa and not a leave to remain resetting her 5 year counter needed for ILR!
Essentially, you can not combine Tier 4 leave with another leave, except under the provisions of Long Residence. You can combine most Tier 1 & 2 leave and leave under some pre-PBS categories. Thank you very much. That clears it for me, it is not worth taking risk over this hoping that the caseworke...
