Re: Fiancé Visa from Pakistan

I'm not sure if it would help much in your situation with regards to accessibility, but you could consider meeting in a country that can be reached by a means of transport other than by plane.

Re: Spouse Visa Extension with Cash Savings

For the extension - Cash savings would be around £38,000 and she earns about £12,500/anum. So that should be enough. (£38,000 - £16,000) / 2.5 = $8,800 £8,800 + £12,500 = £21,300 The amount of cash savings that can be applied annually plus the annual income would exceed the financial requirement (a...

Re: Started new job instead of furlough- spouse visa

To clarify a bit, it's a rolling 12 month period. So as long as you are in a position with a salary of at least £18,600, you would be able to apply using Category B once you have also earned at least £18,600 in total income prior to the application date, which may occur before reaching 6 months with...

Re: Spouse visa extension question

My husband is applying for his 2.5 year extension for spouse visa. I realised my passport ran out in Jan 2020 and there is only 5 weeks left until his visa runs out. Due to coronavirus I can't renew my passport with priority service. Also there are delays for normal passport service so it could tak...

Re: FLR(M) Extension application query

Please list your shared financial responsibilities and how much you each pay each month I think you're probably overthinking it. If you're married the exact answer to this question isn't particularly relevant. One could take the view that if you're married, then all financial responsibilities are s...

Re: Spouse Visa Extension - Spouse unemployed/financial requirement/language test

For employment that commenced prior to the date of application but for which a payslip has not yet been received, absolutely. I'm sceptical that if the start date of a position is after the date of application that one would be considered employed at the date of application.

Re: Spouse Visa Extension - Spouse unemployed/financial requirement/language test

If a job has been offered and the contract has been signed then it wouldn't be considered as prospective rather current regardless of whether the person has physically started it yet. As long as the contract confirms the sufficient income one the date of application it should meet the purpose under...

Thought so, so the answer is I do not need to fill in section 3.13? I will just leave that blank?
Going off the PDF form, if you answer "yes" to 3.12, you skip to 3.21 and leave the intervening questions blank.

Re: Appendix 2 VAF Finance Form Question

However My silly question is on the Appendix 2 VAF form, section 3.13, do I have to put my previous job ( 2nd job) details e.g when it started and when it ended and how much I earned? If you're not relying on it to meet the financial requirement and since you have been with the employer you are usi...

Re: Spouse Visa Extension - Spouse unemployed/financial requirement/language test

Main questions/queries being: - Is this treated as meeting the income requirement if earnings are in excess of £30,000 (last 12 months prior to submission) but at the time of submission the Sponsor is unemployed. (employment letter obtained as above but more than 28 days old from submission date) -...
