its ur fault and your employer as well that you thought it is well coz if everything was fine you will have to apply for FLR in new work permit with in 6 months of work permit apporval.. it is complete mess at the moment and a serious breach.. i am not sure they will give you ILR. suggest you to con...

but you cannot start working for another employer unless you have work permit letter approval from homeoffice..
i think you have breached the immigration rules by start working for another employer..u might get into trouble for doing this..

Hi,

you don't need a original of Work permit .

Work permit letter states that a copy if this should be given to employee so if you have copy of it that should suffice..

Technically they will have all your information in their database thats what the computers are for :)

I think your ILR period starts from the day you enter UK not when the Visa was stamped.

Hello mate, I did check the page 4 and none of that corresponds to ILR in PBS route.. But if you look at page 3 that tells about ILR application for NON PBS applicants. unless we both are looking at different PDF. Did they say in the update that Fees will increase for every one applying after 6th april in SET(0)?
Set (0) form is used by many categories..

Hi Markie,

Not all the application after 6th april will have new fees..
Only Non PBS routes to LIR will have new fees..
Please refer to the document on UKBA website..

any other comments to confirm this please ??

hi vinesh, thanks for you response..i am refering to your this note now "The initial screening guy downstairs did specifically request the Life in the UK Test results and a proof of when I left my first job (to check if there was any gap in my employment), for which I had the P45 so no problem there...

thats how i read it too and you are right..
There is no fees hike for PBS routes to ILR. Table in the UKBA PDF document only applies to non PBS routes to settlement or i am confused..
any opinions ?

try the phone number at 08:58 or 08:59 in the morning and hold the line.. you will definitely connect at 9 and can speak to human not machine..

I think some solictors do have urgent appoinments with them.. may be OISC registered only.
