My understanding is professional referee can be of any nationality but personal referee has to be BC (with professional qualification or older than 25 years)

I am British Citizen for the past one year or so. My mother lives in USA permanently and I want to visit her with my family. I applied US visa about 9 years ago when I was not UK citizen but then my visa was refused. Do I stand any chance to get ETSA approval to visit my mother in USA ?

Thanks legalalien. They did cross checked the referee in case of my Kid's passport application and I heard they do more in case of kids as there is no interview process and it was via post.
